Vào ngày 5 tháng 7 năm 2017, công ty đại diện Blossom Entertainment thông báo Song Joong Ki sẽ kết hôn vào ngày 31 tháng 10 tới.[186][187][188] Hôn lễ được tổ chức riêng tư tại Khách sạn Shilla ở Seoul, thu hút sự chú ý của giới truyền thông trên khắp Châu Á.[189][190][190][191][192]

Vào ngày 27 tháng 6 năm 2019, Song Joong-ki tiết lộ rằng anh đã đệ đơn ly hôn vào ngày hôm trước,[193][194] và thủ tục ly hôn đã được hoàn tất vào ngày 22 tháng 7 năm 2019.[195]
